Travel Trade Service for Group Travel Organisers
Guided Walks in the Peak District and Derbyshire - arranged to meet your group's exact requirements
We provide an advice, planning, and a guided walking service to group travel organisers. Our flexible service allows us to tailor a guided walk in the Peak District to your group's exact requirements:
- Large or small groups
Full day, multi-day, half day or shorter walks (minimum 2 hours)
Gentle strolls through the countryside to challenging hill and moorland walks
Friendly, professional guides who will share their local knowledge with your group
Group safety and enjoyment are our primary concerns. All of our guides are experienced in managing groups out in the countryside, and hold first aid qualifications. We will allocate an appropriate number of guides for your group, taking into account the group size, type, and the terrain that we will be walking over. When planning your route, we will consider the group's fitness levels, likely clothing and footwear, and what your group hope to get out of the experience.
We hold £5 million civil liability insurance.
You may know exactly the walk that you would like us to provide, but if not, tell us about your group, and we will be happy to provide suggestions for consideration.
Examples of Group Guided Walks
Charms of Chatsworth This half day guided walk combines really well with a half day visiting Chatsworth House and gardens. We stroll along the side or the river through beautiful parkland, explore the pretty estate village of Beeley then up a hill to enter Stand Wood, high about Chatsworth Park. From woodland paths we can see the Swiss and Emperor Lakes which feed the magnificent water features in the gardens of Chatsworth House. We take a look at the ancient folly of the Hunting Tower before descending back down winding paths to Chatsworth House. The walk is about 5 miles/8km with some hills, but shorter flatter options are available. A full day, longer version is also available. No specialist walking equipment is needed, but strong comfortable walking shoes or boots, waterproof clothing, and a small bag in which to carry water, snacks etc are essential.
Kinder Adventure A challenging walk only for those with a reasonable level of fitness, proper walking boots, comfortable outdoor clothing including waterproofs, and rucksacks. Suitable for smaller groups of up to 16 people. We venture up onto Kinder Scout - the highest mountain in the Peak District, to marvel at the dramatic gritstone rock formations, learn about the geology and wildlife, and how we can all help preserve this beautiful area for future generations to enjoy. We may also explore the peat bogs, groughs, and hags of the central Kinder plateau. Approximately 12 miles/19km.
White Peak Wonders A two hour, half day, or full day walk in the White Peak area of the Peak District - famous for its rolling countryside and limestone gorges. We will explore Lathkill Dale which has many interesting features such as fossils, wild flowers, birds, a river that is partially underground, an old lead mine, the remains of an aqueduct, 'Ricklow Marble' quarry, and for those into technology - free bluetooth mobile phone downloads. Varying walk lengths and degrees of difficulty available to meet your group's requirements.
