Ben Nevis & Glen Coe area Walking Week

Ben Nevis and Glen Coe area guided walking week

6th - 11th June 2021

Enjoy a week of scenic mountain walks in the stunning Ben Nevis and Glen Coe area of Scotland.  If Covid-19 social distancing is still in place, then we'll be taking small groups of no more than four people with one guide.  If guidelines have been relaxed by then, we'll take a maximum of six.

If you haven't walked in the Scottish mountains before, please do be aware that they are more challenging than other mountainous area of the UK in terms of the amount of ascent and the roughness of terrain.  A good level of hill walking fitness is required, and confidence on steep rocky slopes where scrambling is sometimes necessary.

The multi-day package comprises five full day guided walks on Sunday 6th, Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th, Thursday 10th and Friday 11th June.  The Wednesday will be a free day for you to relax or arrange your own activities or sightseeing.

Whilst the programme is being left flexible to enable us to make the most of the weather, we hope to climb some of the most iconic mountains in the area.  Should the weather be poor, there are many scenic lower level walks to be enjoyed.

Possible walking options for the week include:

High Level Mountain Routes:

  • Ben Nevis, either by the Pony Track or the more adventurous Carn Mor Dearg Arete.
  • Buachaille Etive Mor, the famous mountain at the end of Glen Coe with it's stunning ridge linking two Munro peaks.
  • Stob Ban and The Devil's Ridge, for panoramic views across the glen to Ben Nevis.
  • Bidean nam Bian, one of the famous mountains of Glen Coe.
  • The Pap of Glencoe, the familiar landmark around the lower end of the glen and Loch Leven.

Lower Level Walks

  • The Dun Deardail Fort and Cow Hill.  A scenic walk along forestry trails and up to a fine viewpoint.
  • Lismore Island.  Having taken the ferry across, this lovely little island is a delight to explore on foot.
  • Loch Eilde and the lower hills to the east of Kinlochleven.
  • The Nevis Gorge and Steal Falls.
  • The Allt a' Mhuilinn path for stunning view of the impressive north face of Ben Nevis.

Our package includes the guided walks only.  You are responsible for arranging your own accommodation.  The town of Fort William, although not the most tranquil or scenic of places would be conveniently located, near to most of the walks.

You will also need your own transport to get to the starting points of the walks.

The cost for the package of five guided walks is £250 per person.  A non-refundable deposit of £50 per person is payable upon booking and the balance will be due one month beforehand.  The cost does not include any accommodation, transport or meals.

Please book and pay your deposit below, or contact us if you have any queries prior to booking.  You are booking with Cath Lee and/or Rachel Bolton who between them will guide the walks during the week.
