A guided mountain challenge walk as part of a small group, right around the edge of Kinder Scout in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District.
This is a gem of a walk! It includes waterfalls, edges and moorland. We ascend from Edale via Grindsbrook Clough or Ringing Roger and follow the perimeter of the Kinder Plateau. On a clear day, the views are stunning. The Peak District at it’s best! During our circuit we encounter rocky tors and valleys, Kinder Downfall, Kinder Low End trig point and walk along part of the Pennine Way.
The distance is approximately 17 miles/27km with 2325ft/709m of ascent. The walk will take approximately 9 - 10 hours to complete. The terrain will be rough and stony in places and could be boggy in other places. There will be steep ascents and descents. Participants must be fit and able to complete a full day out on the hills and be comfortable walking all day with just small breaks.
The cost to join this walk is £40 per person. Please book and pay below.

We meet in Edale at 8:15am to be ready to set off at 8:30am.
Our meeting place is at the Edale main car park next to the village hall and public toilets, post code S33 7ZA.
This post code covers a wide area, and so a sat nav might not take you to exactly the right place. Please also be aware that mobile phone signals in the Vale of Edale are very poor, therefore it's recommended that you check maps and that you know the exact location of the car park before you start your journey. The cost of car parking is currently £6 and the ticket machine only takes coins.
Joining the walk by train? Edale Station is less than five minutes walk, across the road from the car park (above).
Further information will provided when you book.
If you need accommodation locally, the village of Edale is ideal, or the villages of Castleton or Hope are both just a short drive away. Please visit our Accommodation Page.
