The Edale Skyline Challenge

The Edale Skyline Challenge

The Edale Skyline Challenge, Peak District

Saturday 12 June and Saturday 21 August 2021.  With Rachel Bolton or Richard Tower.

Both dates fully booked

A guided mountain challenge walk of approximately 22 miles/35km and 1,400 metres of ascent, in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District.  This walk takes in the best of the Peak District summits.  The stunning views and varied terrain all add to the enjoyment.

Our walk starts from the village of Hope and includes Win Hill, Kinder Scout, Brown Knoll, Rushup Edge, Mam Tor, Back Tor and Lose Hill, before descending to Hope to celebrate our achievement!

The walk is a classic walk and race for fell runners, but we will be enjoying walking the route in approximately 8 to 9 hours.  Participants must be fit and able to complete a full day out on the hills and be comfortable walking all day with just small breaks.  Please be aware that the terrain is hilly and boggy in places.

Individuals are able to book a place on this 'open group' guided challenge walk to join a small group of others.  I plan to take no more than five people in total.

The cost to join this walk is £40 per person.  Please book and pay below.  You are booking with Rachel Bolton, and the walk on the day will be guided either by Rachel or by Richard Tower.
