A guided challenge walk as part of a small group above Derwent and Ladybower Reservoirs in the Peak District, taking in Derwent and Bamford Edges and Winn Hill.
The walk begins in the village of Bamford (where there is a train station, accommodation and cafes) and includes a variety of moorland and gritstone edges. It's a spectacular route
that takes in Bamford Edge, Cut Throat Bridge, Derwent Edge, Abbey Brook, Derwent and Ladybower Reservoirs, and finally Win Hill, descending back to Bamford.
Participants must be fit and able to complete a full day out on the hills and be comfortable walking all day with small breaks. Please be aware that the terrain is hilly and boggy in
places.
The walk should take approximately 10 hours and is 21 miles/34 km in
length, with over 1228 metres/4031 feet of ascent.
