Guided Day Walks in the Peak District

Guided walking in the Peak Distrtict

We offer an exciting range of guided day walking options in the beautiful hills of the Peak District, and occasionally in other mountainous areas of the UK.

Most walks are led personally by owner of Peak Walking Adventures, and qualified mountain leader, Cath Lee.  She likes to help to 'bring the experience to life' by sharing with you a wealth of interesting facts, stories, and information.

Why not link a few guided walking days together to create a short-break walking holiday?  We can advise on Peak District accommodation options.

We also offer multi-day guided walking packages in the Peak District and other areas, to allow you to create a guided walking holiday.

It is essential that you have proper hiking boots and outdoor clothing, including a waterproof jacket for all of our guided walks.

Open Group Guided Walk

Open Group Walks

Open group guided hill and moorland walks in the Peak District are available on a few dates each month.  They are usually between 8 and 13 miles and over hilly terrain.

We specialise in small groups of usually no more than 6 people plus your guide.

Our programme of open group guided walks can be viewed on our open group walks page.  Simply find walks that you like, and follow the links to book.

For a more challenging experience, try one of our open group Trek Training Walks or Challenge Walks.

Many of our group guided walks in the Peak District are accessible by public transport. Please see our travel page to plan your journey

The Weather and Clothing for your Guided Walk

We walk in all weather conditions unless we feel it is unsafe to do so. Walks are occasionally changed or modified at short notice to make the best of the weather conditions and to ensure that you have an enjoyable day.

Strong, comfortable walking boots, and outdoor clothing including a waterproof jacket are essential on all of our walks. Please bear in mind that it will be much colder up in the hills than at lower levels.
