1. The Gritstone Edges Winter Challenge Walk

A guided challenge walk along some of the stunning gritstone edges of The Dark Peak area of the Peak District. 

 

At approx 17 miles/27km with about 1020 metres of ascent.  This walk will be taken at a fairly brisk pace so you must be physically fit and have well worn in, comfortable walking boots to take part.

 

You will be in a small group of no more than eight people plus your friendly, professional guide and you will have the opportunity throughout the day to learn a little about points of interest along the route.  

 

This is a linear walk from the village of Hope, over Win Hill and Whinstonelee Tor, and along Stanage Edge and Burbage Edge, then over Higger Tor to finish in the village of Hathersage.  

 

We will be meeting at 8:15am at Hathersage railway station to catch the 8:32am train to Hope.  Post code S32 1DR.
