A guided challenge walk through the pretty countryside, hills, and villages in the area that is known as The Staffordshire Moorlands.  We'll be following trails, paths and lanes through woodland, fields and villages.  


The walk is about 23 miles with approx 850 metres of ascent spread out throughout the day.  It will be taken at a fairly brisk pace so to take part, you must be physically fit, have recent countryside walking experience, and have well worn in, comfortable walking boots.  


You will be in a small group of no more than eight people plus your friendly, professional guide.  


Highlights of the route will include the Churnet Valley and the Weaver Hills.

Meeting place and time

We will be meeting at 7:45am to be ready for an 8:00am start.  


The meeting place is the car park near to the picnic area in the village of Oakamoor.  Post code  ST10 3AG.  It is the main car park that is next to buildings and the public toilets, not the overflow car park.  Car parking is free of charge.  Please note that the toilets might not be open that early in the morning.
