Monday 12 October - Friday 16 October 2020
Something a bit different as we don't normally offer walking holidays including accommodation. This is a one off during 2020!
This mid-week walking break includes cottage style accommodation at Street Farm in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, near to Kirkby Stephen. After an exhilarating day out walking, there will be the opportunity to relax in the hot tub, and enjoy a glass or wine in front of a roaring log fire. The holiday is ideal for individuals wishing to join a small group of no more than eight people.
The location is perfect for hill walking, and whilst the programme will remain flexible to take account of weather conditions etc, possible full day walks could include Wild Boar Fell (708m), The Howgill Fells (up to 676m), or Nine Standards Rigg (662m). If the weather is less than perfect, there are plenty of interesting lower level walks too. It should be possible to do at least one walk from the door of Street Farm Cottages, but for other walks you may need to drive to the starting location.
Our package includes:
For the evenings, you have the choice of preparing your own meal in the self catering kitchen, or there are some great pubs that do food a short drive away.
Arrival is from late afternoon on Monday 19 October, and departure is after breakfast on Friday 23 October.
The cost is just £325 per person. A non-refundable deposit of £100 is payable upon booking and the balance of £225 is due by 12 September 2020.
Please book and pay your deposit below. You are booking with Cath Lee.
There is plenty of car parking at Street Farm if you drive to the Yorkshire Dales.
If you would like to arrive by public transport, it might be possible for Cath to pick you up at Kirkby Stephen railway station on the Monday afternoon, and drop you off there again on Friday morning, plus of course give you a lift to the start of the walks. Please contact Cath to enquire prior to booking, as she has limited spaces in her car.
