Open group guided walks on many Wednesdays throughout the summer, to raise money for
The Moors for the Future Partnership and the Peak District National Park Foundation
Kinder Scout is the highest point in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District National Park. There is no place quite like Kinder Scout! Our themed walks allow you to explore the many historic landmarks, natural features and geological wonders of this iconic area.
These walks are free but we ask that you donate to our charities Moors for the Future
Peak District National Park Foundation. Both of these charities are committed to protect and preserve this fragile upland environment for the habitat, wildlife and our enjoyment now and in the future. Booking is essential and is limited to a party of five, plus the walk guide.
Please note all our walks involve walking on rough terrain that can be steep in places with rocky and boggy sessions. Dogs are not permitted on our walks. It is important that you bring good hill walking kit and a packed lunch. Please download the full kit list below.
All walks start and finish at Edale railway station. Start times are meeting at 9.20am to leave promptly for 9.35am and are approximately 6 hours duration. Peak Walking Adventures reserve the right to change the walk if weather conditions etc do not allow us to access the hills.
These had been regular guided walks through the spring and summer. There is just one remaining date now:
Wednesday 18 August 2021 – The Plant Life and Natural Habitat of Kinder Scout
If you would like to stay locally the night before or after this walk, the villages of Edale, Hope, or Castleton are nearby and have a selection of B&Bs, inns, and self catering accommodation.
