Robin Hood's Stride

Robin Hood's Stride guided walk

1. Robin Hood's Stride, Peak District

Sunday 1 August 2021.  With Rachel Bolton or Richard Tower.

A guided walk in the delightful Derbyshire Dales as part of a small group, plus your friendly, professional walk leader.  Throughout the walk your guide will 'bring the countryside to life' by sharing with you a wealth of local knowledge.

This walk includes exploring the rock outcrops of Robin Hood's Stride which reputedly saw local hero Robin Hood leap from one rock tower to the other!  Cratcliff Tor has a hermits cave at the base of its mighty cliff face known for challenging climbing and bouldering.  Following the delightful Alport, Bradford and Lathkill Dales rivers are a delight, and woodland trails give us the opportunity to view a range of plant and animal life.

The distance is approximately  9 miles/14.5 kilometres with a total height gain of 650 feet/198metres.

The cost is £38 per person.  Please book and pay below.  You are booking with Rachel Bolton, and the walk on the day will be guided either by Rachel or by Richard Tower.
