Stanton Moor Christmas Walk

3. Stanton Moor Christmas Walk

Saturday 9 December 2023

Come and join Peak Walking Adventures for our annual Christmas walk!  Richard and Rachel will guide you on the walk and include some Christmas Quiz fun on route!

Our walk leaves the quaint village of Birchover and after exploring the unusual rock architecture of Rowter Rocks we continue our walk on good field paths and tracks around the village. A gentle ascent then brings us to Stanton Moor. The Moor has lots of places to explore including the wonderful Nine Ladies Stone Circle and Cork Stone. The views are extensive over the Derwent Valley. We explore the moorland and then return to Birchover via a secluded woodland path.

The distance is approx 6 miles/ 10 kilometres with a height gain of approx. 600 feet/ 323 metres.

The cost is £20 per adult, children (accompanied by adults) attend for free. This includes hot chocolate, mince pies and free entry to our Christmas Quiz with prizes.  Please book and pay below.
