A guided walk as part of a small group of no more than six people, plus your friendly, professional guide.
This walk climbs Win Hill from Hope village. We take a path that ascends diagonally rather than the quicker more steeper routes to the top. This allows us to enjoy the climb and appreciate the surrounding scenery.
The summit of Win Hill is one of the best in the Peak District! Its rocky top provides a fun little optional scramble and is a wonderful place to linger on a summers day.
Our route descends towards the village of Thornhill and then returning to Hope via the site of Brough Roman fort.
The distance is about 7 miles/11km with approx 350 metres of ascent.
The cost to join this walk is £38 per person. Please book and pay below. You are booking with Rachel Bolton who will guide the walk on the day.
We meet at about 9:15am to be ready to set off at 9:30am from the entrance to the main public car park in the village of Hope. Post code S33 6RD. It's signposted off the main road through Hope and is next to the public toilets. The car park is a 'pay & display' and costs £5.20 per day. The ticket machine only takes coins.
If you would like to stay locally the night before or after this walk, the village of Hope is ideal, but Bamford and Castleton are also nearby.
